Step into the world of anime! This one-time session is perfect for anime fans ages 9 to 17 who want to explore the art, storytelling and culture behind Japanese animation. The session will include guided instruction, drawing time, and creative sharing. Whether you’re just starting out or already filling sketchbooks with fan art, this workshop is a great way to learn new skills and connect with fellow anime enthusiasts!!

Students will:
● Learn to draw anime-style faces, expressions, and dynamic poses.
● Design their own original characters or recreate favorites.
● Explore simple storytelling techniques used in anime and manga.
● Create a mini character sheet or short manga scene to take home.

Materials Provided

All necessary materials are included. Just bring your enthusiasm and a love for anime. Feel free to bring your sketchbooks or any previous artworks to share during the workshop.

Meet the Instructor

Roger Andrews, founder of SketchyGOichie, brings over 25 years of experience in the art industry, having collaborated with companies like Hasbro, Puma, and Disney. Specializing in character creation and conceptual illustration, Roger now offers digital drawing instruction through SketchyGOichie, an innovative program for young artists based in New Bedford.
